Meet the Doctor

Dr. Michael Michel’s chiropractic practice is located in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  He resides with his wife MJ and their children Jessica, Rachel, Jedidiah, and Paisley in Ellsinore, Missouri.  He is a lifelong Missouri resident and grew up in Ripley county.  Dr. Michel received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and bachelor of science degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO.  He opened his practice in Poplar Bluff in October 1999.

Dr. Michel is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Zion Lutheran Church.  He has a passion for the Chiropractic profession and has been a member of the Missouri Chiropractic Physicians Association for more than 20 years.  He is also involved with the International Chiropractors Association. He is commonly seen in the community providing spinal screenings.  He used to have a monthly column in the Bulletin containing information regarding health issues for many years.  Most recently he had a weekly radio show on KWOC.  In December 2020 Dr. Michel became a CME(Certified Medical Examiner).  This means that Dr. Michel is qualified to do DOT Physicals along with any other organization that would need physicals.

Dr. Michel operates a high-volume principled practice based on the principle of loving, serving, and giving. He believes in training hard, serving big, loving large, and living out loud.  Michel Chiropractic Center LLC Dr. Michel offers permanent solutions to degenerative joint disease and spinal misalignment.  He frequently speaks to the community and is available to speak to your organization or church group upon request.  Chiropractic is not what Dr. Michel does, it is how he lives his life. He practices with his heart and his passion for chiropractic is expressed every day in his practice.

He enjoys time spent with his family, hunting, and work on his farm, among other things.  Christ is the center of his life.  He believes and often says in his office, “I move the bones, God does the healing”

Jessica seems to "do it all" behind the scenes, She is often at the front desk, but she excels in helping new patients feel welcome at our office.  When you first visit Michel Chiropractic, she will go over your health history thoroughly with you to make sure you feel heard and communicate your symptoms with our doctor.  Jessica has 4 years experience and has been a patient since birth we adore her!

MJ is the problem-solver at Michel Chiropractic.  Her job is different every day, but she handles it all with a smile.  MJ loves interacting with the patients.  MJ has a master's in teaching.
